The site of a former Lichfield garage could be redeveloped as an apartment and offices.
Planning permission is being sought for the change to the Mr Tyre site on Station Road.
The vehicle repair business has moved to larger premises on the same road, leaving the old site empty.
Now MP Developments want to knock down the existing structure and replace it with a two storey building.
In a statement supporting the application, the developers said: “Mr Tyre now operates from premises 100 metres further along Station Road.
“The removal of the existing structure will be a planning gain. This redevelopment project will enhance the street scene.”
