An historic building in Fazeley could be converted into 110 apartments and houses if new plans get the go-ahead.
Developers have submitted proposals to Lichfield District Council for Tolson’s Mill, on Lichfield Street.
The scheme would see the creation of 51 apartments and 11 townhouses in the existing buildings, with a further 30 houses and 18 apartments built on the site.
Grade II listed Tolson’s Mill was built as a textile factory in in the 1880s, but is currently empty.
Other parts of the site are used as industrial units.
A statement supporting the application said: “The proposed design of the new buildings is shown to be appropriate and the proposed development will provide a positive contribution to the surrounding townscape and enhance both the setting of the listed building and the conservation area.”
