Two burglars have fled empty-handed after a break-in at a Lichfield shop.
The pair broke into the Trent Valley Post Office at 2.30am this morning (January 7).
A Staffordshire Police spokesperson said: “We responded to the activation of an alarm.
“Two unknown offenders had broken into the rear of the premises and gained access to the shop. It is believed that they were disturbed and they fled the scene empty handed.”
Police say the pair were wearing gloves and balaclavas. Anyone with any information is asked to contact Staffordshire Police on 101 quoting incident 40 of & January 2015.
