The polls have opened in the Chadsmead by-election.
Voters will be able to vote for candidates to represent them on Lichfield City Council and Lichfield District Council.
The seats became vacant following the resignation of the Liberal Democrat councillor Marion Bland due to ill-health.
The candidates standing for the district council by-election are:
- Colin Ball (Labour)
- Adam Elsdon (Greens)
- Jan Higgins (UKIP)
- Brian McMullan (Conservatives)
- Paul Ray (Lib Dem)
The four candidates contesting the vacant Lichfield City Council seat are:
- Adam Elsdon (Greens)
- Simran McMullan (Conservatives)
- Paul Ray (Lib Dem)
- Phil Sutcliffe (Labour)
Polling stations will be open until 10pm.
