A REFORM UK candidate says he will focus on three priorities during his bid to win a seat at Lichfield District Council.
A by-election is being held in the Alrewas and Fradley ward following the resignation of the local authority’s former leader Mike Wilcox for “personal reasons”.
Voters will head to the polls on 24th July to select their new representative.
Among the names on ballot paper will be Brandon Clark. He said:
“It is a pleasure and an honour to be selected as the Reform UK candidate for the forthcoming Alrewas and Fradley by-election.
“My campaign is centred around three key priorities – opposing the housing development on the former RAF Lichfield base, fighting as hard as possible to limit the operating hours of the Pyford Brook quarry and more widely, hold the Tory minority administration to account at district level.
“I also aim to work with the now Reform-controlled Staffordshire County Council and play my part in standing up for the priorities of Alrewas and Fradley residents.”
Candidates standing in the Alrewas and Fradley by-election are:
- Glen Bown (Labour)
- Brandon Clark (Reform UK)
- Morag Maclean (Liberal Democrats)
- Richard Stephenson (Conservatives)
