A report has backed plans for 96 new homes on land in Burntwood.
The site at Mount Road has been earmarked for development with a range of different sizes of homes being proposed.
The former industrial land has been empty for a number of years and the report to Lichfield District Council’s planning committee says local residents are supportive of the idea of revitalising the land.
The report added: “It is considered that adequate open space will be provided on site to meet the needs of the future and existing residents, while the number of dwellings and mix proposed, will provide a suitable density of development to integrate into the area, whilst also helping to meet the
accommodation needs of the district.”
The planning committee will make a final decision on the proposal on July 24.
