RETROSPECTIVE planning permission is being sought for the conversion of a shop and a residential flat in Lichfield into a chiropractic surgery.

The application has been submitted for 29 Sandford Street.

A planning statement said:

"The applicant bought this property two years ago. It had been empty for ten years previously.

"The proposed business entrance will be approached from the side and the car park to allow a reasonable treatment room on the ground floor level for elderly and less mobile visitors. The front door recess has been removed and a straight screen installed to maximise the space in the front room.

"Further treatment rooms are placed within the property – one at ground level and three on the first floor."

Full details can be found on Lichfield District Council's planning website.
