Review: Drayton’s Magical Christmas @ Drayton Manor Theme Park

Published:

What every parent wants for Christmas is to see a smile on the faces of their children.

So it was an early festive treat to see our youngsters enjoying a day of fun at Drayton’s Magical Christmas.

We’re regular visitors to Thomas Land at this time of year as it reopens for the pre-Christmas period so we thought we knew what to expect.

But the team at Drayton Manor have given the park an extra sprinkle of Santa’s magic dust for 2013.

Having a pre-booked time slot to see Father Christmas has eased the queuing stress for parents, while youngsters are treated to a great experience in the magic castle as they meet elves and toy soldiers before getting to meet the big man himself.

With ‘snow’ falling three times a day, singing and dancing by the Fat Controller and pals, as well as street performers, there’s plenty to keep young visitors entertained even before they hit the rides in Thomas Land.

The 4D cinema is always an experience and the addition of a special version of The Polar Express has added to the festive feel-good factor too.

And it’s worth braving the dipping temperatures until the end of the day too as a child-friendly fireworks display sends kids – big and little – home with a smile on their faces.
