Three men have robbed a Burntwood supermarket.
The raiders struck at the Co-op at Swan Island at 6am this morning (September 12) as staff were opening the shop.
The men entered the rear of the store and confronted workers before stealing cash. One of the offenders was carrying a crowbar but no other weapons were seen and no-one was injured.
All of the robbers wore face coverings and two of the men were seen wearing distinctive brightly coloured gardening gloves.
An inquiry into the robbery has begun and scene of crime officers are carrying out detailed examinations.
