A new group exploring Lichfield’s history will host their next meeting at the Lichfield Garrick Studio.

Historian David Moore will join members of Lichfield Discovered on Wednesday (September 4) to talk about Sandfields Pumping Station.
He will explain the historical importance of the site and why the building needs to be safeguarded.
Kate Gomez, one of those behind the new group, explained: “It’s about celebrating Lichfield as it was, as it is and as it could be.
“We want people to get involved by sharing their memories and stories, and letting us know what they’d like to discover about our city and how.”
The meeting takes place at 7pm and entry is free.
