The Lichfield Garrick Youth Theatre is on the lookout for talent to join the cast of their 2012 production of the award-winning musical Fame.

Previous sell-out productions have included Footloose, Rent, Oliver! and Les Miserables, but they will be returning to the show which they performed in the city in 2007 for their next outing.
Many of the cast of 2007 and have now moved on to take up places at universities and drama colleges, so the hunt is on for the next batch of young stars.
Lichfield Garrick Youth Theatre chairman Oliver Rowe explained:
“It never ceases to amaze me of the talent we find in the local areas. The children produce a truly professional, polished production whilst also learning valuable skills such as stagecraft, dance, singing and other performance essentials backed by a talented team of passionate individuals all who give their time to Youth Theatre freely.”
There will be an open meeting held on September 11 from 3pm to 5pm at Holy Cross Hall, Chapel Lane, Lichfield, for any prospective members to come along and find out what’s involved. They will be able to meet the production team, and also hear about all of the available parts which will be auditioned for along with the chorus of singers, dancers and actors that are needed to complete the 50-strong ensemble.
