A SECOND enforcement notice has been issued by Lichfield District Council over unauthorised work on land in Burntwood.
The local authority had previously sought to halt activity at the Woodhouses Road site back in April.
At the time, residents had reported ground levelling, pipework installation and structures being brought onto the land.
But a second planning notice has now been issued over unauthorised residential use of the plot, including the stationing of caravans and associated works, which have taken place without the necessary planning permission.
Cllr Richard Cox, Lichfield District Council’s cabinet member for community and public protection, said:
“We understand residents have strong concerns about this site and want reassurance that action is being taken.
“This enforcement notice demonstrates that the council continues to actively pursue this matter through the appropriate legal and planning processes.
“As this remains an ongoing case which may be subject to appeal, we are unable to comment further at this stage.”
The enforcement notice requires the land to be restored to its original state within a specified period.
The notice will take effect on 26th June 2026 unless an appeal is submitted to the Planning Inspectorate before that date.
