A LOCAL group is bidding farewell to its conductor after 11 years.
Bob Share is moving out of the area so is handing over his baton at the Stonnall Singers.
He said:
"It’s been a very happy time with the 20-member choir. Our weekly rehearsals have been most enjoyable and the hard work has paid off with our many concerts over the years.
"I will miss our Thursday night practice sessions."
Bob's final outing with the choir will be a free afternoon concert – The Last Rose of Summer – at Trinity Methodist Church in Shenstone. It takes place at 3pm on 27th September.
The group is also now in need of a new conductor to ensure it can continue going forward.
