GLASSES were raised by the team at a Lichfield opticians to celebrate its 30th anniversary.
To mark the milestone, Specsavers on Market Street was joined by Dame Mary Perkins – the company's founder – who presented them with a certificate of recognition and a bottle of fizz.
As well as celebrating the store’s birthday, the commemorative event recognised the long-standing dedication of several team members, who together have achieved more than 200 years’ combined service.
Dame Mary said:

"To be celebrating 30 years in business is a huge achievement, and it’s even more impressive with a team with such extensive long service and dedication to the local community. They exemplify the passion and dedication that colleagues throughout Specsavers demonstrate to make sure that we provide the very best eye and ear care services."
Praful said:
"I can hardly believe it has been three decades since we first opened the Lichfield store.
"We’ve built such a fantastic community here and it has been a privilege to serve generations of families.
"The business has gone through a huge amount of change in that time, but the constant has been making sure that we are providing excellent customer service to everyone who comes through our doors.
"On behalf of the whole team, I’d like to say a very big thank you to everyone for their support over the years – and here’s to many more to come."
