A CHARITY providing news content for visually impaired people has been boosted by a £1,000 donation.
Lichfield Talking News, which is supported by content from Lichfield Live, provides weekly recordings for local residents.
The initiative has now been boosted by £1,000 from Redrow Midlands.
John May MBE, chairman at Lichfield Talking News, said:
“We provide 21 hours a week of news, magazines and information to the sight impaired to help reduce loneliness for people who may be feeling isolated.
“A big thank you to Redrow Midlands for the donation. The £1,000 will enable more people to enjoy our service, making news more accessible.”
The money has come from the housebuilder’s community fund.
