TRAIN operators have confirmed that planned strike action has been suspended.

Members of the TSSA union had been due to walkout on Friday (31st July) and Saturday in a dispute over rest day working arrangements.

But West Midlands Railway and London Northwestern Railway said further talks meant a full service would now run.

Jonny Wiseman, customer experience director for the two operators, said:

"We are pleased the TSSA has suspended its strike action, which would have been disruptive for our customers.

"We now look forward to running our usual timetable on Friday and Saturday.”
