STUDENTS and staff at The Bridge Academy in Lichfield are celebrating their GCSE results.
This year saw 60% of the school's Year 11 achieve five or more qualifications.
The school said it representee a "significant and sustained improvement" year-on-year, with the proportion of students gaining five or more qualifications increasing from 7% in 2024, to 36% in 2025 and 60% in 2026.
Elliot Payne, headteacher at The Bridge Academy, said:
"We are incredibly proud of our young people and everything they have achieved.
"For many of our students, their journey to results day has not always been straightforward, which makes seeing them leave The Bridge with qualifications, skills and a clear next step particularly special.
"These results are much more than numbers on a piece of paper. They represent our young people achieving things that, at different points in their education, they may not have thought possible.
"I would like to thank our fantastic staff, and families, for the part they have played in supporting our students to reach this point. Most importantly, congratulations to our Year 11 students – they should be extremely proud of themselves."
