A TRAIN operator has confirmed reduced timetables will be in place when industrial action starts.
Members of the TSSA trade union will take strike action in a dispute over rest day working arrangements.
As a result, London Northwestern Railway said reduced services would run on routes on 31st July and 1st August.
Some routes will also see later starts and last trains operating earlier than usual.
Jonny Wiseman, London Northwestern Railway' customer experience director, said:
"It is disappointing that TSSA has called further strike action which is set to disrupt travel for our customers.
"We apologise for the inconvenience this will cause and urge TSSA to continue talks so we can reach a resolution to this dispute.
"If the strike action does go ahead, we will be running a reduced timetable on both dates. Customers are advised to check before they travel by visiting journey planners and our website."
Some disruption to services is also expected on the morning of 2nd August due to displacement of trains.
Any customer who holds a London Northwestern Railway ticket dated for 31st July or 1st August can use it on 29th July, 30th July, 2nd August or 3rd August instead.
