TRAIN passengers in Lichfield are facing another day of disruption due to damaged overhead lines.
Services on the Cross City Line were cancelled throughout yesterday (3rd July) due to the incident near Birmingham New Street.
Engineers have been working on the issue overnight, but Network Rail say trains are likely to be cancelled today as well.
A spokesperson said:
“Extensive repairs are continuing on the overhead lines, but there are no trains between Lichfield and Birmingham throughout this morning.
“We’re working to reopen the line as soon as possible.”
