Trains halted after lorry hits a railway bridge in Lichfield

Part of a main road in Lichfield was closed after a lorry hit a railway bridge.

The incident happened last night (May 21) on Upper St John Street.

Train services into Lichfield City and Lichfield Trent Valley on the cross-city line were also halted while engineers checked the bridge.

The line was eventually reopened at 10.30pm.
