A LOCAL venue is celebrating after hosting its 100th wedding.
Blackbrook Barns reached the milestone 18 months after welcoming its first couple down the aisle.
The 100th ceremony was reached when Tor Harris and Craig Jeavons tied the knot.
Family-run Blackbrook Barns saw the former antiques centre transformed by entrepreneurs Kevin Sharkey and Peter James.
The initial redevelopment saw the creation of retail units, before a £450,000 investment in April 2024 to create a dedicated wedding venue.
Kevin said:
"Reaching our 100th wedding is a fantastic milestone and one we're incredibly proud of. Seeing so many couples begin the next chapter of their lives at Blackbrook Barns has made all the hard work worthwhile.
"When Peter and I bought the site we could see its potential but transforming it into a thriving wedding venue has exceeded our expectations. We seem to have struck the right chord with couples looking for a venue that's both stylish and personal.
"We'd like to thank all of the staff who have helped shape the business and, most importantly, the couples who have placed their trust in us. Without them, this milestone simply wouldn't have been possible."
