Shoppers are being urged to safeguard their handbags and purses after a theft at a Lichfield supermarket.
A woman was approached by the offender in Waitrose car park, who distracted her by asking directions.
The victim later discovered her debit card was missing from her handbag which had been put on the passenger seat.
The offender is described as an Eastern European female. The debit card has since been used to obtain money from a cashpoint.
