The 30th Lichfield Festival is set to begin at venues across the city.
The performances will begin with the Festival Evensong at Lichfield Cathedral at 3.45pm.
BBC Radio 3 will be broadcasting live from the city and the show will be repeated on Sunday (July 10) at 4pm.
A spokesperson said:
“What better way to open our 30th programme than with a celebratory service in the beautiful building in which our Festival began.”
People will also play detective when they begin the hunt for Trevor, the Festival’s pig.
Every day the decorated statue will be in a different location across the city. The first person to spot him and report back to education@lichfieldfestival.org will win two tickets to a Lichfield Festival event.
