Sir Willard White returns to the Lichfield Festival for its 30th anniversary year.
The bass baritone will perform at Lichfield Cathedral alongside the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra from 7.30pm.
Meanwhile the Lichfield Guildhall will be holding a learn to crochet session.
Knitwear designer Amy Twigger-Holroyd will be showing people the basics of knitting and crocheting from 5pm. Entry is £5.
Nobody’s Perfect Productions will bring Lichfield writer Phil Preece’s new work Dark Angel to the stage at 8pm at the Garrick Studio.
Youngsters aged seven to 12 will be able to make the news at Erasmus Darwin House Gardens in the Junior Journalist workshops at 12.30pm and 2pm.
The same venue will be hosting Pig Tales for children aged two to six years.
A spokesperson explained:
“Farmer Bill is very forgetful! He forgot to close the gate of the pigsty and now all of his pigs have escaped. He has to find them before they cause too much damage – can you help?”
And the pig theme isn’t finished there as the search for Trevor continues.
Every day the decorated statue will be in a different location across the city. The first person to spot him and report back to education@lichfieldfestival.org will win two tickets to a Lichfield Festival event.
