
Whittington Vets FC recorded their sixth straight victory to progress to the final of the Chairman’s Cup.
From the off the game started at a frantic pace and an early set piece resulted in a headed goal for Paul Brampton.
Whittington extended the lead shortly after when a mazy run into the box by Matt Taylor was brought to an end when he was upended for a penalty. Nick Colley duly dispatched the spot kick with ease.
The lead was extended further in the second half when a cross from Carl Hooper was powerfully headed home by Phil Joyce.
Whittington will take on Folly Lane Strollers in the final with a chance of lifting silverware.
Elsewhere, Whittington Vets A went down 4-1 to league leaders Trooper FC with Richard Lees grabbing the consolation goal.
