Whittington Vets continued their recent good form to overcome title-chasing West Midlands Saab.
The hosts took the lead just before half time when Steve Piearce was blocked off the ball resulting in a penalty which Leighton Thomas cooly slotted.
Good defending by Nick Howship, Lee Chattaway, Blair Ballinger and Andy King meant the Vets maintained their slender lead going into half-time.
Whittington extended their lead in the second half after a pinpoint corner from Neil Russell was powerfully headed home by Phil Joyce to seal a deserved win.
