Burntwood U16s were not at full strength due to illness, injury and county duties but they managed to draw 5-5 at home to near neighbours Willenhall in a typically hard-fought local derby.
The hosts took the lead with a fine try involving forwards and backs finished off by debut boy Luke Gunter in the corner.
Willenhall levelled straight from the second half kick off – their backs passing well for a try in the left corner.
Close to the final whistle the visitors had a try disallowed due to unclear grounding so the stalemate remained unbroken.
Ryan Percox was man of the match for Burntwood – a player who continues to improve with every game.
