KEEPING pests in the garden under control will be the focus of a free demonstration at a Shenstone garden centre.

Dobbies will host its latest Grow How session at 10.30am and 3.30pm on 2nd and 5th July.

It will cover tackling the likes of slugs, wasps, flies, ants and rats.

Staff will also highlight which plants can help keep pests at bay, as well as how to encourage wildlife such as hedgehogs.

Nigel Lawton, from Dobbies, said:

“Slugs and pests affect nearly every garden, yet there are many simple tips we can follow to help control the problem and prevent them from damaging our gardens.

“Customers attending this month’s Grow How workshop at the Shenstone store can learn more about detecting the early signs of pest damage to help prevent future issues, allowing everyone to make the most of garden living this summer.”
