A Lichfield bar is set to be rebranded as an Australian-themed venue, according to reports.
Apres on Bird Street will be transformed into Walkabout in time for the Rugby World Cup.
The Birmingham Post reports that the leaseholds to Apres bars in Lichfield and Solihull have been sold to Intertain by Town & Country Inns.
Intertain chief executive John Leslie said: “Solihull and Lichfield are great towns and we’re looking forward to introducing customers to our new-style Walkabout.”
The new owners say the themed bar will allow visitors to “release their inner Aussie”.
The Walkabout website says the bars are: “By day, a haven to relax in and enjoy a bite to eat with mates whilst catching up on the latest sports news, and by night, the high street’s leading party venue.”
