THE boss of a Lichfield food business says an award win has given them “a real lift”.
Thyme Kitchen was named Casual Dining venue of the year at the Visit Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent Tourism Awards.
Owner Beth Toovey said the title had come following a number of challenges for the business, which is based at Curborough Countryside Centre on Watery Lane.
She said:
“It’s been a tough couple of years with building works, road closures and even a fly-tipping incident affecting the business, so this award has given the team a real lift.
“But we’ve worked incredibly hard to stay positive and keep pushing standards,.
“To be recognised by Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent Tourism feels amazing.”
