
Students at a Burntwood school after celebrating record-breaking A-Level results.
Erasmus Darwin Academy, formerly Chasetown Specialist Sports College, saw a 99 per cent pass rate for sixth formers – the best result’s in the school’s history.
Academy Principal, Bernice Astling, said:
“I am delighted with our sixth form results this summer which are a credit to the hard work of our students and our staff. We are particularly pleased that virtually every student who applied has secured their university place, and we wish them all the very best in their future studies.”
Among the star performers were:
- Jenna Clake, who gained top grades in all her A-Level subjects with A* in English Language, A in English Literature and A in Fine Art.
- George Rushton, who gained A* grades in History, Politics and Extended Project together with grade B in Mathematics.
- Year 12 student Amy Jukes gained amazing results in her AS exams, with top grades in all five subjects with grade A in Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
