A TELEVISION presenter and children's author has been confirmed as the official host of the Burntwood Wakes.
Gemma Hunt – who has appeared on CBeebies, Songs of Praise and CBeebies Bedtime Stories – will be on stage at the event on Saturday (18th July).
The Burntwood Wakes takes place at Burntwood Leisure Centre from midday to 4pm.
It will feature live music, stalls, funfair attractions, inflatables and a petting zoo.
A spokesperson for Burntwood Town Council said:
"With years of experience hosting live events and entertaining audiences of all ages, Gemma is the perfect person to keep the fun going at this year's Burntwood Wakes festival.
"We can't wait to welcome her for what promises to be a fantastic day of family fun."
