A GOLF event has helped raise more than £18,000 for charity.

Taking place at Whittington Heath Golf Club and Great Barr Golf Club, the Harry Giles Charity Golf Tournament was held in aid of St Giles Hospice and Help Harry Help Others.

It was organised by Lichfield business The Boss Partnership and Steve Charles Quance Jewellers.

Two teams competed across the two-day event, with the event eventually ending as a draw.

Logan Khan, from The Boss Partnership, said:

"Thanks to everyone who turned up, played their round and put their hand in their pocket – and thank you to everyone who donated prizes and gave up their time to help organise it.

"This is what happens when the local business community gets behind something together."
