A CARE home has rolled back the clock for a 1920s event.
Hammerwich Hall Care Home dialled up the glitz and glamour for the Great Gatsby-inspired day.
Residents were also able to enjoy Peaky Blinders-era fun.
Eileen Higginbotham, 94, said:
"I had such a wonderful day – I loved dressing up, the food was delicious and everyone looked like they were having so much fun. If we could do it all over again I definitely would."
Fellow resident Ann Dale, 84, said:
"I really enjoyed spending time with the staff and all the fun we had together. The food was absolutely delicious, and it was such a lovely day."
Following the success of the Gatsby Day, home manager Kerrie Carpenter is already planning more themed events.
She said:
"We wanted to bring that 1920s glamour to life for our residents, relatives and staff.
"It was wonderful to see everyone getting involved, dressing up, enjoying the music and making special memories together."
