Groups in Burntwood are being urged to apply for grant aid funding.
The scheme is run by Burntwood Town Council and targets organisations that provide a service to the local community or enhance the image and identity of the area.
The 2010 Scheme opens tomorrow (June 29) and closes on September 17. Final decisions on successful applications will be announced at a presentation evening in early December.
Applications forms can be requested from the Town Council’s office or downloaded from www.burntwood-tc.gov.uk.
A spokesperson explained:
“The scheme provides start-up grants for new organisations as well as grants to organisations already operating.”
Organisations must have clearly stated aims and objectives set out in writing, a written constitution, be able to provide a copy of its latest annual accounts and most recent bank statement and have a bank account operated by a minimum of at least two joint signatories.
