People in Lichfield are being invited to help others improve their English.

Speak Street Lichfield is a new group set up to encourage local residents to support others in developing their skills in situations such as job interviews and social scenarios.

A spokesperson said: “The structured sessions are fun and designed to help boost confidence and improve levels of spoken English.

“We also welcome native English speaking ‘streetmates’ to help support the sessions and in return gain some teaching experience while meeting new people living in the area.”

The next Speak Street Lichfield session takes place from 10am to midday on November 10 at Curborough Community Centre. Sessions then take place fortnightly.

For more information or to find out details about volunteering with the group, contact Kate@Speak-Street.com or take a look at our Facebook page speakstreetlichfield.
