Chase Terrace school clocks up fifth year of success

Students at Chase Terrace Technology College have clocked up a fifth successive year of A-Level success.

The school made it five years of best-ever results as the number of A* and A grades was double that achieved last year.

Sophia Davies, who gained A* grades in Maths and Physics and A grades in Chemistry, Biology and AS level General Studies, is now destined for Imperial College, London, while Lauren Dunne heads off to study Law at Leeds University, having gained two A*’s and two A’s.

Other students achieving two full A Levels at A* and A were:

  • Jack Baggot (Geography at Keele)
  • Kirsty Beech (Psychology at Manchester)
  • Joe Beeso-Cope (Social Anthropology at Manchester)
  • Daniel Fielding (Animal Science at Bristol UWE)
  • Holly Lowe (Fashion at London University of the Arts)
  • Ben Malugani (Society, Culture and Media at University of East Anglia)
  • Mark Richards (Aerospace at Coventry)
  • Katie Rolph (Psychology at Reading)
  • Tom Squire (Graphic Design)
  • Molly Taylor (Music Composition at Westminster).

The school’s headteacher, Dr Stuart Jones, said:

“I am thrilled with these results. It has been well-documented that competition for university places is especially tough this year and our students have met this challenge magnificently.”
