CHASETOWN will host local rivals Hednesford Town in their New Year’s Day clash.
Mark Swann’s men will kick off 2025 with the Staffordshire derby against their neighbours
The two sides have met twice already this season – The Scholars won their latest encounter in the FA Vase, but had to settle for a point in the reverse league fixture at Keys Park.
Their clash at The Scholars Ground last year attracted a crowd of over 2,000 – a record league attendance for the hosts.
A win for Chasetown this afternoon could see them climb as high as second in the Northern Premier League West after they took all three points from Hanley in a 2-0 win on Boxing Day.
Meanwhile, The Pitmen came out on top of another local derby in their previous contest, as they beat Stafford Rangers 4-2.
Kick-off is at 3pm.
