CHASETOWN avoided any slip-ups as they eased past Coton Green in the FA Cup.
The visitors suffered an early setback when their keeper was forced off with an injury with just five minutes on the clock.
The Scholars made the breakthrough on 18 minutes when Tak Sambizi was sent through one-on-one and coolly slotted home.
It was 2-0 just before the half-hour mark when a quick counter saw Kyle Moseley tuck the ball past the keeper.
Coton Green tried to find a route back into the game before the break, but saw Curtis Pond on hand to make a fine save to keep his side' two-goal advantage intact.
There was still time for Chasetown to make it 3-0 in first-half stoppage time as Matt Hearsey beat his man before firing home.
The second half saw the Scholars produce a few early efforts on goal but the Coton Green keeper, Blake Hall, was equal to them.
The fourth goal did arrive on 67 minutes when Hearsey added his second of the afternoon.
The scoring wasn't complete though as Chasetown' fifth found the net ten minutes from time when Lachlan Suffell headed home.
Coton Green did grab a consolation moments later though when Owen Watkins was brought down in the box. Daisy Morris stepped up and found the top corner with a well-taken penalty.
The Scholars had the final say as Suffell netted his second to make it 6-1 and secure his side' spot in the next round.
