Parents have been shocked after a Burntwood nursery closed.
The Wonderland Day Nursery on Bridge Cross Road went into receivership on Friday (November 30).
Some families were only informed by text message that the business had closed, while others who went along to collect work were told the locks had already been changed.
Local councillor Steve Norman said: “Neither the County Council nor Ofsted, whom I contacted this morning, were aware of this situation.
“I went to the nursery this morning and have been told by the Receiver that the children’s medicines and school work have been taken home by some staff members so I hope the network of parents will be able to collect these.
“This must be a very distressing time for the children leading up to Christmas with all their plans now uncertain but I hope that at least they can be found new places very soon.”
