THE Conservatives are celebrating success after winning the Alrewas and Fradley by-election at Lichfield District Council.
The party had previously held the seat before the authority’s former leader Mike Wilcox switched to become independent prior to his resignation for “personal reasons”.
Richard Stephenson topped the poll with 690 votes, while Reform UK’s Brandon Clark was second with 439 votes.
The new councillor said:
“I must thank my friends, neighbours and the people who live in Alrewas and Fradley for the vote of confidence they have given me.”
