Plans have been submitted for a drive-thru Costa in Lichfield.
The café would be built on land near the site of the McDonald’s and Holiday Inn at Wall Island.
As well as the single storey building at the southern end of the Lichfield South site, developers also hope to add nine car parking spaces.
A statement supporting the application said the building would be designed to be as environmentally-friendly as possible.
“The concept is for a modest building of crisp contemporary design,” it said.
“The building is designed to be very energy efficient in order to minimise the environmental footprint. It also incorporates very robust materials with a long life span, a high percentage of
which are end of life recyclable.”
