Councillors reject plans for ‘granny flat’ extension in Burntwood

Published:

Plans to extend a ‘granny flat’ in Burntwood have been rejected by councillors.

The application for the property on Woodhouses Road had requested permission to build a single storey extension to create a bedroom with en suite.

However, Burntwood Town Council had been against the plans due to the location – and the proposal was rejected by Lichfield District Council due to “innappropriate development within the Green Belt which would cause harm to its visual amenity and openness”.

Full details of the proposal and the decision notice can be seen on Lichfield District Council’s planning website.
