FIREFIGHTERS have been reunited with a dog they rescued in Burntwood.
Crews were called to a blaze at a house on Queen Street in Chasetown on 26th April.
As well as putting out the blaze, members of Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service also rescued cocker spaniel Charlie, who received oxygen therapy before being taken to the vets.
Now the dog and his owners have visited Chase Terrace Community Fire Station to thank crew members.
Watch manager Rich Rudge said:
"Our breathing apparatus team searched and found Charlie in the house after he ran back inside.
"When Charlie was rescued, he had suffered smoke inhalation and we gave him oxygen therapy at the scene.
"It was amazing to see Charlie again and I am so glad that he has made a full recovery.
"Remember, if there is a fire in your home, get out, stay out, and call 999."
