A revamped Lichfield pub is set to throw open its doors later this month.
Joule’s Brewery have been transforming Samuels into the Angel Inn in a bid to restore the historic parlour pub to its former glory.
And now the company have confirmed that drinkers will be able to toast the changes on October 30.
Trudie Meredith, from Joule’s, said: “The Angel Inn has been a truly exciting project for us, the concept is very new and fresh , but the focus remains the same – unmistakeably high quality sophisticated crafted beer in good quality surroundings.”
The Angel Inn is the second in a series of the company’s craft beer bars and the restoration has seen a return to the name of the pub during the 1930s.
Leanne Giblin, the new manger of the Angel Inn, added: “I am thrilled and feel honoured to be part of this fresh concept and venture.
“What has been created over the past few months is amazing. The Angel will sit at the heart of the community, sponsoring the local charity arts festival and the local cricket club.”
The pub’s reopening will take place at 6pm, when Lichfield Cricket Club’s president, Chris Cooper, will pour the first pint.
