A Lichfield school headteacher has said that GCSE results for her students show that “hard work pays off”.
Nether Stowe School saw 63 per cent of students gaining five GCSEs, including English and Mathematics at grade C or above.
And the results were welcomed by headteacher Ruth Poppleton.
“We are very proud of all our students, many of whom have performed exceptionally well,” she said. “Behind every one of these results is a students who has had to put in many hours of hard work to complete controlled assessments and study for examinations, supported by parents and dedicated staff.
“It goes to show that hard work pays off. I have seen students who are overcome with the level of their success and achievements. I would like to wish all of them, whatever career path they choose, every success for the future.”
