A number of family connections will feature heavily in the forthcoming local elections at Lichfield District Council.

The vote in May will see a number of links across different wards and in some cases in the same ward.
Current Conservative leader Mike Wilcox will be joined by his wife Sonia in battling for seats in the Alrewas and Fradley ward, while Labour’s Darren Ennis and his wife Laura will stand in Chasetown and Summerfield and All Saints wards respectively.
Other family links see current Lichfield District Council Conservative duo Doug and Natasha Pullen representing their party in the Highfield and Summerfield and All Saints wards, while Christopher Cadwallader-Allan and Lee Cadwallader-Allan will fly the flag for the Lib Dems in the Curborough and Leomansley wards.
However, two family groupings will not return to Lichfield District Council after Helen Fisher and her daughter Beth both opted not to stand again for the Conservatives. Similarly, Tory duo Brenda and Doug Constable have also decided not to seek re-election.
