Forward Jack Edwards has completed a move to Chasetown from Lichfield City.
The frontrunner – who bagged 28 goals for the Midland Football League Premier Division side last season – had been the subject of an approach from The Scholars last season.
But he has now agreed to make the switch to work under Mark Swann.
The Chasetown manager said the club had beaten off competition from other clubs to secure Edwards’ signature.
“We have been in contact with Jack for a long time. He stayed loyal to Lichfield mid-season after our approach, which we have huge respect for.
“Jack, quite rightly, had some very good offers from higher up the pyramid but we are over the moon he feels we are the right club for him to take the next steps with.”

Edwards’ arrival follows hot on the heels of the signing of fellow forward Luke Yates earlier in the week.
