THE site manager at a Fradley housing development has been recognised with a national industry award.
Marc Franks, from Bellway’s Sheasby Park scheme, has seured the Quality Award in the National House Building Council (NHBC) annual Pride in the Job competition.
The 38-year-old was among only 450 winners selected from a pool of more than 8,000 site managers inspected over the past year.
It is the third time Marc, who began his career as an apprentice bricklayer more than 20 years ago, he has won the accolade.
He said:
“We got the Quality Award here in 2022 then missed out in 2023, but claimed it back for 2024 so it was satisfying to retain it for the first time.
“On site it’s like one big family, which is perhaps the secret of our success as we all pull together and if there’s an issue we talk it out, find a solution, learn from it and move on positively.”
Marc will now go forward to the next stage of the competition – the NHBC’s Seal of Excellence and Regional Awards, which will be announced this autumn.
