A LOCAL business says it has seen a “rapid” increase in the number of cremation funeral services following a £350,000 makeover.
Hammerwich Crematorium and Cemetery said the recent renovation had led to a 20% rise in funerals taking place.
Work carried out included refurbishment of the chapel and the installation of a new audio and visual system.
Matthew Lymn Rose, managing director at owners A W Lymn, said:
“We have invested heavily in the site at Hammerwich to ensure we’re able to offer the best quality service to those who choose us to help them say goodbye.
“We understand that people’s needs are changing, so we’re proactively taking steps to ensure we are best placed to support with whatever they may choose for their funeral arrangements – and our first company-owned cemetery and crematorium is just one of the ways we’re able to do this.”
